What does Leigh Fibers do?
Leigh Fibers is an international manufacturer of engineered fiber solutions and is recognized as North America's largest processor of textile waste. For over a century, we've converted textile waste into competitive advantages for our customers through custom fiber blends, closed-loop recycling programs, and domestic and international fiber trading.
What types of textile waste and fiber does Leigh Fibers process?
With over 150 grades of reprocessed textile waste and by-products, we work with a wide range of fiber types, including soft thread, slasher, card waste, comber, cone yarn, polypropylene, nylon and rayon. If we don't already have a grade that fits your application, we'll develop a custom blend with the fiber content, length and color you need.
What is a closed-loop fiber solution?
A closed-loop solution lets manufacturers recycle their own textile scrap into high-quality, made-to-order fiber. It reduces waste disposal and landfill costs, creates a low-cost supply of customized fiber, optimizes production efficiency and yield, and can generate an additional revenue stream from scrap that would otherwise be discarded.
What industries does Leigh Fibers serve?
Our fiber solutions support a wide range of industries, including automotive, bedding, caskets, furniture, apparel, acoustic insulation, sporting equipment and specialty fiber applications, among many others.
